Fugitive –A 56 year old Waymart man was taken into custody Tuesday, 9:00 AM, on SR 419 at Boyd Street after officers responded to check on a report of suspicious persons. A records check of the individuals revealed an outstanding warrant for him from the Manheim Township Police Department in Lancaster County for a violation of the sex offender registration requirement. He was transported to Central Booking to await pick-up by Lancaster County authorities.

Deer Struck – A 58 Myerstown man struck a deer Monday 7:05 PM as he was traveling east on Freeman Drive near Alden Place. No injuries. Deer was deceased.

Hit & Run – A truck tractor semi-trailer struck a stop sign at the intersection of Tice Lane and North Cornwall Road Thursday, approx. 11:20 PM, then damaged a retaining wall at the property located at 99 N. Cornwall Rd. East. The truck fled, traveling toward SR 72. A witness provided information and investigation continues to identify the vehicle involved.
