A Cornwall resident reported October 30th that he lost $3850.00 in a scam when attempting to sell his vehicle on the internet. The victim advertised the vehicle for sale on for $8600 and received a check for $12,450 with instructions to obtain a cashier’s check in the amount of $3850 to cover the cost of transporting the vehicle and title fees. The check the victim received was fraudulent but he had already sent the cashier’s check and could not stop payment.


An accident ccurred Friday, 8:32 PM, on the SR 322 Westbound ramp for SR 72 Southbound. A 22-year-old Swatara woman was traveling west on SR 322 and did not realize the ramp curved. Her vehicle slid across both lanes of SR 72 striking an embankment. No injuries. Vehicle sustained extensive front-end damage and was towed.

Deer Struck

A 64-year-old Cornwall woman struck a deer today (Monday), 6:30 AM, on SR 419 near Alden Street. No injuries. Vehicle was drivable. Report does not list the status of the deer.

West Cornwall Township

Deer Struck

A 51-year-old Lebanon man struck a deer Sunday, 5:10 PM, on SR 72 south of Alden Lane. No injuries. Vehicle was towed. The deer fled after the collision.


Occurred today (Monday), 4:08 PM, on SR 419 (Main Street) at SR 72. A age 38-year-old Richland woman was traveling east on SR 419 and ran into the rear of a stopped vehicle driven by a 52-year-old Lebanon woman. No injuries. Vehicles sustained minor damage and were drivable. The Richland woman is being cited for driving under suspension.
