In time for summer travel, Visit Lebanon Valley has released a brand new “Explore the Outdoors” field guide.

The free guide is available on Visit Lebanon Valley’s website and takes a look at the abundance and variety of outdoor features that Lebanon County has to offer.

The guide covers hiking trails, places to cycle or mountain bike, wildlife that can be seen throughout the county, and information about some of the more prominent creeks, rivers, and lakes in the area.

The guide includes several pages that can be uses as a journal or log to keep track of hikes or catalogue wildlife.

“It’s so easy to take for granted what we see every day. How lucky we are to have so much natural beauty like Middle Creek, Swatara State Park, and Mt. Gretna, just to mention a few. All the perfect setting for hiking, biking, kayaking, birding, and more,” said Jennifer Kuzo, President of Visit Lebanon Valley, in a press release.

A digital version of the guide can be found at the bottom of Visit Lebanon Valley’s website, and print copies can be picked up in Visit Lebanon Valley’s office at the Lebanon Farmers Market.

The guide was produced by Visit Lebanon Valley and paid for by a grant from the Atlantic Sunrise Community Grant Program.
