According to a Daily News report from last night’s Cleona borough council meeting, Giant Foods will face a hurdle in its plan to put beer gardens at two Lebanon area locations.

According the report by Daniel Walmer, Cleona Mayor Larry Minnich said that the decision would likely end up being made by voters through a referendum after the company collects enough signatures on a petition. Cleona has been a dry community since 1945.
