For 11 years, Diane Gibble owned a place on the square in Bethel and held a show annual to help bring folks into town—that’s the story of Witches of Bethel, an antiques show which attracted over 4,000 attendees last year, its final rendition in Bethel since Gibble sold the building. With the event causing Bethel to burst at the seems, Gibble felt it was a good time to move the party as well.
Witches in Myerstown will be held October 13 at the Tulpehocken Manor (650 W Lincoln Ave), a familiar place for Gibble who grew up in town. She’s currently exploring in the area nearby to re-open her business Miss Morgan’s Milkweed Antiques in a brick and mortar location. Gibble specializes in industrial antiques and country antiques, but her collection spans all genres, including mid-century and urban farmhouse.

At the time we spoke to Gibble, 155 merchants were planned for the event, about 90% antiques and 10% wares from other artisans. Merchants will come from across the country, but expect a strong local representation as well.
Keystone Hook & Ladder and Goodwill Fire Companies will be working the grill for reasonably priced burgers and hotdogs, the Elco FFA will be serving ice cream, Chatty Monks will be there with beer, and Renegade Winery with vino. Sugar Shaker coffee and Sirro’s Italian ice will also be there. Myerstown 250th Anniversary will also have a table for free at the event thanks to Gibble.
Although the name might scare people off, the event is not spooky, save for the handful or more of witches and other characters in customer you are sure to see, as Gibble says the costume portion has evolved into healthy competition among vendors.

I would like to know if you have room for a vendor. My husband builds furniture and smalls out of old barnwood and I paint furniture and signs, make wreaths etc etc! You know how we crafters are! I got this info from friends Kris and Scott Bortner! Thanks for your time!
